The Merit Antique Hotel

The Merit Antique (5 Star Hotel) is located in Laleli, and very close to the main historical sights of Istanbul. It is also one of the few hotels in this area boasting an indoor swimming pool. The Merit Antique was created by a group of architects, who kept the Ottoman neoclassical concept of the original building (ca.1923). The cross-shaped central courtyard is now graced with a fountain, and the entire area is now covered with a transparent material allowing the effect of openness and daylight. The hotel features four restaurants, a patisserie, cafeteria and a bar. Other extras are: meeting facilities, sauna, massage, Jacuzzi, gymnasium and hairdresser. All of the 274 rooms include private shower and toilet, hair dryer, direct dial telephone, satellite and cable T.V., music, A/C and mini-bar.
